Elmous does not offer refunds. Every product we sell is a digital typeface. The moment your order is completed, two things happen at once: the font files are delivered to you, and a licence to use them is issued in your name. Neither can be returned, un downloaded, or revoked.

This applies regardless of the reason, including a change of mind, an accidental purchase, buying a font you later decided not to use, or discovering that the typeface is not what you expected. Please treat every purchase as final before you complete checkout.

By completing your order, you expressly request immediate delivery of the files, and you acknowledge that once delivery begins, you lose any right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply to an online purchase.

Please verify carefully before you buy

Because no purchase can be reversed, the few minutes you spend checking before checkout matter more here than in almost any other kind of store. Every product page gives you what you need:

  • The exact font name. Many typefaces have similar names, and several of our families share a first word. Confirm that the full name on the product page matches the one you intend to buy.
  • The style and weight. Check the specimen images and the style listed on the page (script, serif, sans, display, or brush) and make sure it is the cut you want, not a sibling in the same family.
  • The letterforms themselves. Use the live preview to type your own text, such as your brand name, your headline, or the actual words you plan to set. A typeface can look very different with your words than with ours.
  • The character set. Confirm that the glyphs, alternates, ligatures, and language support you need are included. If you need specific accented characters or a non Latin script, verify that they are listed.
  • The file formats. The availability of OTF, TTF, and WOFF depends on the licence you choose. Check that the format you need is included in that tier.
  • The licence tier. Desktop, Web Font, Social Media, Logo, Merchandise, App, Broadcast, and Corporate licences each permit different uses. Buying the wrong tier is the most common and most expensive mistake, so read the licence page before choosing.

Not sure? Try the demo first. Most of our families offer a free demo version on the product page. Install it, set your text, and confirm that it is right before you buy the full licence. If anything is still unclear, ask us. We would far rather answer a question than have you buy the wrong font.

If your file will not work

A refund is not available, but a broken file is our problem to solve, not yours. If a font will not install, arrives corrupted, or is missing something the product page said was included, contact us and we will send a working replacement.

We respond within 48 working hours (Monday to Friday, excluding Indonesian public holidays), and we will keep working with you until the files you paid for are usable. Please give us that window to put things right before taking any other step.

Transaction errors

The following are not refunds. They are corrections to transactions that failed or should never have been completed, and we resolve them promptly:

  • You were charged more than once for the same order.
  • Payment was taken, but no files were delivered and we are unable to deliver them.
  • A charge you did not authorise was made using your payment details.

Please contact us within 14 days of the charge, and include your order number and the email address used at checkout. We acknowledge every report within 48 working hours (Monday to Friday, excluding Indonesian public holidays) and will correct any charge we confirm was taken in error.

Please raise the issue with us first and allow that window. These cases are almost always resolved faster directly than through a payment dispute.

Wrong licence tier?

Licences can be upgraded at any time, with no deadline. What you have already paid is credited in full against the higher tier, so you never pay twice for the same font. This is an upgrade, not a refund, and the original purchase stands.

Free and demo fonts

Demo and free versions cost nothing, so nothing is payable or refundable. If a free file is broken, please tell us anyway so we can fix it.

Chargebacks

Please contact us first and allow 48 working hours for a reply before opening a dispute with your bank or PayPal. We take that commitment seriously, and in practice most issues are settled well within that time.

Filing a chargeback without contacting us first will suspend your account and every licence issued under it while the case is open. This prevents you from using fonts you may already have deployed in live client work. It is slower for you and harder for both sides, whereas a message to us costs nothing and is almost always faster.

Questions

Ask us anything before you buy, because that is when we are most useful. This policy sits alongside our Terms of Service and licence terms. Nothing here removes rights that cannot be waived under the mandatory consumer law of your country.
